POSITION DESCRIPTION – Director of Marketing

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer


The Director of Marketing will be responsible for creating comprehensive marketing strategy and campaigns to support our continued growth.  The candidate will work to promote targeted messaging to clients, prospects, partners, and internal staff while working closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, Professional Services, Inside Sales, Finance, and Executive Management. 

Strategy and Planning:

  • Define the marketing strategy, objectives, and target audience

  • Manage website, SEO, Google key words, and core messaging

  • Maintain company brand and image on all corporate communications

  • Monitor and measurement of lead tracking campaigns/ROI

  • Work closely with Sales Development Reps for lead gen, nurturing, and pipeline creation

  • Integrate marketing programs with CRM/Database Management

  • Strong social media experience with online lead generation, social postings, blogs, podcasts, video, webinars, etc.

  • Manage creation, writing and publication of presentation templates, sales collateral and website messaging

  • Manage/Coordinate event planning including industry conferences, Client Advisory Boards, etc.

  • Content creation – video/You Tube, sell sheets, case studies, whitepapers, corporate presentation materials

  • Communications – Internal, newsletters, social posts, CSAT surveys

  • Market Research on competitive landscape

  • Public Relations – Press Releases, seek/apply for awards and recognition, client success stories/customer testimonials

  • Tradeshow & User Groups – Research annual tradeshow calendar, coordinate attendees, booth schedules, and speaking opportunities

Person Attributes:

  • 5-7 years of Marketing experience (Agency, Marketing, SaaS B2B, preferable experience with Human Capital Management solutions – compensation specific a plus)

  • Accountability for budget management and reporting

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Must be able to translate business goals into functional strategies
